The number of SharePoint User Groups around the world is steadily growing. One register of the current user groups is on the [UG Resources Page|http://www.sharepointpros.org/Pages/SharePointUserGroups.aspx|SharePoint User Groups] of the International SharePoint Professionals Association (ISPA) site. These local groups will generally have meetings once a month or so, and are great places to get to know peers who are using SharePoint in local businesses.
